The Islamic Republic of Iran Post Company has established the International Postal Affairs Bureau in order to broaden more cooperation, to create better grounds and to keep its relations with Universal Postal Unions and the Postal administrations of other countries.
The most important responsibilities of the bureau are as follows:
Maintenance of Iran Post Relations with the Universal Postal Unions, Restricted Unions and the Postal administrations of other countries.
Supplying the preliminary actions to make new postal relations by surface, air and sea between Iran& other countries.
Regulating and the schedule of sending mails by air, surface and sea to other countries
Receiving the International publications and, translating, publishing and duplicating them at national network.
Verifying international statements and following-up receiving credits, or and paying debts.
Predicting the international postal expenses and its timely suggestion to separate Currency& RIAL.
Giving permission for paying indemnity regarding overseas mails.
Studying and investigating the necessity of membership of Iran Post in International unions and assemblies and animosity with other organizations to assign the Membership fee.
