The picture of I.R.IRAN`s "Scholars Pavilion" on the stamp of the UN

 

The UN issued a set of 10-piece stamp which two pieces of that includes the 'Scholars Pavilion' or Chartagi - donated by the Islamic Republic of Iran to the international organizations in Vienna. The Chartaghi is the most famous element of Iranian architecture. The Chartagi will be placed in the central Memorial Plaza of the Vienna International Centre (VIC). Its dimensions are 2.2m x 2.2m x 3m, and it is made of stones and fiber stones. Each pillar, which has been built in the Persian sub-style, comprises a pedestal, pillar and a bull-guard capital which supports the ziggurat ceiling. The ceiling façade is ornamented with sun icon decorations. In each arch, an Iranian scientific figure is represented.
